Adam Codilis boasts many passions: He’s passionate about the law, of course, which is why he ranks as one of the busiest foreclosure, bankruptcy and real estate attorneys in the Chicago metropolitan area.

But Codilis how two other overriding passions, too: He has long embraced technology. And he is a strong proponent of doing whatever it takes to run his legal practice more efficiently.

Fortunately for Codilis, these last two passions have converged. He is the co-founder of Run the Call, Inc., an on-demand app that connects legal professionals to legal service providers. Codilis is also a student of the relationship between artificial intelligence and the law. He has already incorporated several aspects of machine-learning into his practice, and plans to take to market many of his artificial intelligence products in the near future.

Gia Scatchell, chief executive officer of Run the Call, said that Codilis is one of those rare professionals who has no "off" switch.

"Adam is a self-starter," Scatchell said. "I am consistently impressed with his ambition and laser focus. Adam is an asset to have as a business partner because nobody works harder and smarter to challenge himself and everyone around him."

But Codilis' energy doesn't end with his work. Scatchell said that Codilis is equally as committed to community service.

"He juggles a high-pressure law firm with giving back to the community," Scatchell said. "He makes it look easy."

Codilis’ legal career is an impressive one. He is vice president at Codilis & Associates, a suburban firm that ranks as one of the largest creditors’ rights law firms in the country. Codilis has gained a reputation among his peers as one of the top foreclosure, bankruptcy and real estate attorneys in the region.

Because of this, Codilis is a frequent guest speaker at trade organizations and industry events. He has also written many publications in the mortgage-banking industry.

Despite his busy career, Codilis has found time to give back to his profession. He serves as an advisory board member of the Legal League 100. He is also a graduate of Fred Lane’s Trial Technique Institute.

Michael Havey, a real estate broker with the Hinsdale office of D'aprile Properties, has worked often with Codilis. He, too, has come away impressed with Codilis' energy, enthusiasm and legal talents.

"His work ethic, hunger for innovation and passion for what he does is unparalleled," Havey said. "He is always looking to push and improve the status quo. If I were to imagine what this man's life philosophy would be, it is 'Work hard. Strive for greatness, and always do the right thing.' He is a true inspiration to all professionals around him."

Codilis is a member of the Chicago Bar Association, the DuPage County Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association, Illinois Real Estate Lawyers Association and Phi Alpha Delta law fraternity.

In addition to his legal accolades, Codilis is six-sigma certified, and has spent years dedicating his time to finding more efficient ways to run his legal processes through the incorporation of technology.

Codilis finds time, too, to indulge another of his passions: real estate. He is a real estate agent, investor and property manager. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, golfing and volunteering his time as a board member at the Mercy Home for Boys and Girls.
