Frivolous filing merits suspension, ARDC panel says

A Chicago attorney should lose her law license indefinitely for allegedly filing frivolous court pleadings and other misconduct, a lawyer-discipline panel recommended.An Attorney Registration & Disciplinary Commission Hearing Board urged that Linda R. Montgomery be suspended for eight months and until further Illinois Supreme Court order, which effectively makes it indefinite.In August 2014, the ARDC administrator’s office filed a two-count complaint against Montgomery.The complaint said that Montgomery …
