A woman who lost the $4 million she invested in Panda Express restaurants has failed in a bid to collect damages from the parties she says cheated the restaurants. The 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals concluded it was the company that owned and operated the restaurants — not investor Fortunee Massuda — that was directly injured.
