Supreme Court disbars 9 lawyers

The Illinois Supreme Court disbarred a Chicago lawyer who took more than $600,000 from several clients for personal purposes. An Attorney Registration & Disciplinary Commission Review Board found that sole practitioner Thomas W. Murphy violated multiple rules of professional conduct with several clients over a 10-year period starting in 2000. The justices suspended Murphy’s law license on an interim basis in May. M.R. 26755.
