1995 The O.J. Simpson trial was sent to the jury. After a nine-month trial, it took the jury less than four hours to acquit Simpson of two counts of murder. 1997 Jury selection began in the prosecution of Terry Nichols for the Oklahoma City bombing. Nichols was eventually convicted and, after the jury deadlocked on the death penalty, was sentenced to 161 life sentences. He is incarcerated in a federal prison in Florence, Colo.
