Legal-malpractice claim moves ahead with caveat

A state appeals panel has revived a legal-malpractice lawsuit stemming from a wrongful-death case. The 1st District Appellate Court panel reversed and remanded a trial court’s ruling that granted summary judgment to Cavanagh Law Group. The legal-malpractice case was filed on behalf of Deandre Hall in Cook County Circuit Court in 2011. The named defendants included Timothy J. Cavanagh & Associates P.C., which is now Cavanagh Law Group. The underlying lawsuit resulted from the 2004 death of Reunond Fowler. …
