Justices impose sanctions, disbar two lawyers

The Illinois Supreme Court has suspended a lawyer for two years after he falsely overbilled a client by about $250,000. The justices imposed the sanction on James A. Spizzo, who is accused of the overbilling when he was a Vedder, Price P.C. shareholder. The justices approved the Attorney Registration & Disciplinary Commission administrator’s motion for discipline on consent. M.R. 26988. The law firm was not named in the ARDC complaint.
