Malpractice award backed by 7th Circuit

A federal appeals court has affirmed a $1 million award made to two brothers who claim Freeborn & Peters LLP botched its handling of a failed shopping mall deal. The 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals held the evidence supported the conclusion the law firm committed legal malpractice in its representation of Brian and Patrick Nelson and their company, Nelson Brothers Professional Real Estate LLC.
