Judge nixes sanctions for deposition texting

A federal judge has declined to sanction a Chicago police officer who texted instructions and suggested responses to a fellow officer being deposed in a civil rights case. In a written opinion, U.S. District Judge Sharon Johnson Coleman also declined to sanction the officer who received the messages. Officers Jaeho Jung and Jeffrey Frahm are defendants in a lawsuit accusing them of arresting Abbidula Randle-El on bogus criminal charges.
