A battle over the amount of attorney fees owed to a man who settled his civil-rights claims against the city of Chicago has cost the city an additional $2,000. The 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals affirmed an award of $2,000 made to cover the fees plaintiff Peter Morjal incurred fighting improper objections the city made to his initial fee petition.
