Fired woman gets chance to prove case

A federal judge has cleared the way for a woman to pursue a retaliation claim against an auto-parts distributor that put her on medical leave and then fired her for missing work. In a written opinion, U.S. District Judge Edmond E. Chang declined to grant summary judgment in favor of Auto Wares Group of Companies in a lawsuit brought by Emma Miranda.
