Retainer charge causes panel to urge disbarment

A Naperville lawyer should be disbarred because he allegedly converted nearly $15,000 in retainer fees paid by clients. That’s the punishment recommendation for John C. Roth from an Attorney Registration & Disciplinary Commission Hearing Board in a default proceeding. Roth did not appear and was not represented by a lawyer at a Jan. 13 hearing.
