The Illinois Supreme Court has disbarred a 96-year-old lawyer accused of taking an excessive amount of attorney fees from a trust for which he acted as both trustee and attorney. An Attorney Registration & Discipline Commission Review Board panel recommended that Joseph C. Owens of Glen Ellyn be disbarred and pay $65,100 in restitution to the trust.
