Last year, I wrote about the phenomenon of hyped beers (“Sift through hype to find beer you like,” Dec. 12), and Dark Lord, a Russian imperial stout from 3 Floyds Brewing Co. in nearby Munster, Ind., may be the granddaddy of them all. It’s only released one day a year, and it’s only sold at the brewery on that day.
