Exasperated because Country Mutual Insurance Co. failed to comply with orders that allegedly required it to immediately pay the attorney fees and costs incurred by two companies — Hilltop View LLC and Professional Swine Management — in tort and coverage cases concerning a large hog production facility, a Schuyler County judge ruled that Country Mutual was guilty of indirect civil contempt. To purge the contempt, the order said Country Mutual would have to pay $96,990 to Hilltop and PSM. The judge also …

Judge rejects ‘specific patient rule’ in case over false claims, kickbacks
