U.S. District Judge James F. Holderman said today he is leaving Chicago’s federal trial bench after 30 years of service. Holderman, whose last day is June 1, said he was “thrilled” when President Ronald Reagan nominated him to the bench. “I firmly believe that the opportunity to serve as a presidentially appointed United States judge and serve the people of the Unites States that way is the highest honor any of us could ever have,” he said.
