A Cook County jury has awarded $22.4 million to a train conductor whose heel was degloved and fractured as he switched train cars in a railroad yard.The verdict came Thursday in 30-year-old Michael Parsons’ two-count negligence case which alleged his employer, Norfolk Southern Railway Co., violated federal and state safety regulations when they reduced the amount of clearance space between tracks.The award is Cook County’s largest reported verdict or settlement for a heel-related injury, according to John L …
