ARDC panel: Disbar lawyer for practicing while on suspension

An attorney accused of practicing law while his law license was suspended should be disbarred, an attorney discipline panel urged on Friday.The Illinois Attorney Registration & Discipline Commission Hearing Board suggested the sanction for 70-year-old Buffalo Grove attorney Joel S. Alpert.Alpert — an attorney in Illinois since 1987 who is currently suspended for prior misconduct — did not appear at his disciplinary proceeding, and no attorney appeared on his behalf.
