Appeals court upholds cop’s firing over photo

One of two white Chicago police officers who posed with a black man as if he were a hunted animal lost an appeal challenging his employment termination on Friday.In an undated photo, then-Special Operations Section (SOS) Officer Timothy McDermott is crouching over an unidentified black man who was wearing antlers and sticking his tongue out, reminiscent of a hunter posing with a trophy kill.McDermott is holding the man’s neck in one hand and a long gun in the other.The photo was taken sometime between Oct. 14, 1999 …
