Wind generator company makes plea to justices

SPRINGFIELD — An energy company wants to build a pathway for wind power from northwest Iowa through the Land of Lincoln.But an appeals court ruled against the project, saying the company can’t build the line because it does not qualify as a public utility under Illinois law.Now the company, Rock Island Clean Line LLC, is calling that decision “absurd” and asking for help from Illinois’ top court.In a 21-page argument for leave to appeal filed this week, the company claims the Illinois Supreme …
