Chicago partners’ pay lags behind other cities

A biennial study released this week shows that the average Chicago law firm partner pay increased by nearly $100,000 over the past two years, while at the same time it still lags far behind that of partners in many other U.S. cities.On Thursday, legal search firm Major, Lindsey & Africa released its 2016 Partner Compensation Survey that it produced with ALM Legal Intelligence, in which 2,153 law firm partners across the country reported information in categories including their compensation, pay satisfaction and …
