SPRINGFIELD — Illinois is inching closer to approving a multistate bar examination for prospective lawyers.The state’s top court and the Illinois Board of Admissions to the bar announced Monday there will be three public hearings on the exam that allows successful test-takers admission to the bar in multiple states instead of just one.Currently, 24 states and the District of Columbia accept scores from the Uniform Bar Exam, or UBE, which is prepared by the National Conference of Bar Examiners.The Illinois …
