Gaming board: 19 shops wrongly denied licenses

The Illinois Gaming Board must grant and issue video gaming establishment licenses to 19 different businesses after a Cook County judge ruled they were wrongly denied for not being considered “traditional” establishments.While the gaming board is granted broad authority to regulate the state’s gaming industry, the board overstepped its authority and denied various gas stations’, convenience stores’, liquor stores’ and grocery stores’ license applications based on a factor that is …
