High court loads up its docket for current term

SPRINGFIELD — A day before Thanksgiving, the state’s top court has filled its plate.The Illinois Supreme Court justices this morning accepted questions about a cyberstalking law, a multibillion-dollar power line, a man accused of murder at age 7 and negligence over a body that was mistakenly cremated.Altogether, the high court allowed 18 leave-to-appeal petitions during its November term, seven of which are criminal cases and 11 of which are civil cases.The top justices denied 225 appeals and gave supervisory …
