ARDC hearing board: Suspend attorney for neglecting clients

An Attorney Registration & Disciplinary Commission Hearing Board has recommended that attorney Michael D. Elkin be suspended for one year and until further order of the court for collecting fees from clients and then, in several instances, not showing up to represent them in court.Elkin, 35, allegedly failed to adequately represent four clients, whom he collected nearly $12,000 in combined legal fees.
