A McDonough County jury has awarded a record-breaking $4.1 million to the estate of a woman who died after a police officer collided with her minivan while pursuing a suspect at high speed.The jury’s verdict Friday came after a previous jury in 2012 found in favor of the McDonough County Sheriff’s Department and Deputy Thomas Pledge as well as a remand for a new trial in 2014.The $4,129,033 award for the estate of Jill Dayton and her daughter Amanda is a record for both the county of roughly 32,000 residents …
