Effort to certify classes in privacy lawsuit tossed out

A man who received a solicitation letter from a law firm after he was in a car collision will have to go it alone in a lawsuit accusing the firm of invading their privacy.In a written opinion this week, U.S. District Judge Amy St. Eve declined to certify two classes in the suit Antonio Pavone filed against defendants that include Meyerkord & Meyerkord Ltd. of St. Louis.Pavone alleges the law firm violated the federal Driver’s Privacy Protection Act by using information from motor vehicle records to pitch its …
