Soda tax put on ice until July 12

Cook County’s Sweetened Beverage Tax will not take effect Saturday as planned after a temporary restraining order was issued Friday afternoon by Cook County Circuit Judge Daniel J. Kubasiak.But the penny-per-ounce reprieve could be short-lived.
