Two settlements advance in police misconduct cases

Chicago City Council’s Finance Committee moved on Monday to settle two police misconduct lawsuits, including one brought by a woman who alleged she suffered a miscarriage when a police officer used a Taser on her multiple times.The woman is in line to receive $500,000 if approved by the full city council.The incident occurred when Chicago police ordered a car, owned by plaintiffs Elaina Turner and Ulysses Green, and parked outside their house to be towed, according to an amended federal complaint the two filed in …
