$15M award for missed lung mass

A Cook County jury awarded more than $15 million Tuesday to a woman who was diagnosed with cancer years after a mass first appeared on a medical scan.Plaintiff Judith Skorek sued Dr. Stanley Clark, his medical group and Naperville’s Edward Hospital in 2015, alleging Clark failed to notice a suspicious mass in her left lung while he was interpreting an angiogram she underwent in November 2011.Skorek underwent the angiogram test at the hospital to check for and monitor a potential aortic aneurysm, her attorney Michael …
