Circuit to hear Dassey case en banc

The full 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals will soon be hearing the case of Brendan Dassey, a Wisconsin man whose murder conviction was overturned last year after a federal magistrate judge found investigators took advantage of his low IQ and tricked him into confessing.Dassey, whose case became widely known after it was featured in the Netflix series “Making a Murderer,” received 2-1 approval of his habeas corpus petition from a 7th Circuit panel in June.
