Attorney indicted on tax-evasion charges

A Chicago lawyer has been charged with evading nearly $780,000 in income tax payments over the course of two decades.The income Daniel P. Soso failed to report included a portion of the fees paid to lawyers who represented the state of Illinois in a lawsuit against tobacco companies, an indictment released Thursday alleges.The tobacco suit was filed in Cook County Circuit Court in 1996.
