U.S. Sens. Richard J. Durbin, D-Ill., and Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, introduced legislation that would require the U.S. Supreme Court to allow television coverage of most open sessions. The courtroom could be closed to cameras if a majority of the justices determined televising the proceeding would violate a party’s right to due process.
