Condo board OK to assess extra $1M without owners’ vote

A Skokie condominium board can impose a $1 million special assessment to fund building-wide repairs without a vote from the owners, a state appeals panel found Thursday in a published opinion.North Shore Towers consists of two six-story buildings at 9558 and 9560 Gross Point Road in the north suburb. The complex was built in 1979.
