ARDC: Lawyer used client’s medical lien funds

An Attorney Registration & Disciplinary Commission Hearing Board has called for a St. Charles attorney to be suspended until further order of the court after he allegedly used more than $9,000 of a client’s personal-injury settlement funds.In a report filed Wednesday, the hearing board concluded that Brian M. Fornek, 54, of Brian M. Fornek & Associates P.C., engaged in misconduct when he allegedly used funds that he was bound to keep in his client trust account for payment of his client’s medical liens …
