I hit a nerve in my last column, “As verdict amounts rise, when does it become too much?”In that column, I openly asked whether there is such a thing as a verdict that is too high.I talked about reasons we might be seeing verdicts in ranges never seen before, while at the same time we see a corresponding decline in lower verdict ranges and an overall drop in filings. Judge rejects ‘specific patient rule’ in case over false claims, kickbacks
