$2M agreement reached over Tri-State collision

A 21-year-old man who sustained a traumatic brain injury after a semitrailer truck rear-ended him in a highway crash has settled his lawsuit for $2 million.Plaintiff Omar K. Ashkar sued truck driver Brendan J. Griffin and his employer, Creviston Trucking Inc. in Hammond, Ind.The agreement came on Feb. 1, about six months after the crash, said Ashkar’s attorney, Caroleann S. Gallagher of Dwyer & Coogan P.C. But the lawsuit has yet to be dismissed by Cook County Circuit Judge John P. Callahan Jr.The complaint filed …
