SPRINGFIELD — State lawmakers have advanced a measure that will allow judges to order guns and gun licenses removed from people who could pose a threat.A legislative panel Wednesday approved Senate Bill 559, which creates a “lethal violence order of protection” that allows family members and police to ask courts to take individuals’ guns if there is evidence they pose a danger to themselves or others.The bill now goes to the full Senate.Sponsored by Sen.
