‘Vitriolic,’ ‘nasty’ conduct earns Brodsky a $50K sanction

Vitriolic. Contemptuous. Antagonistic. Confrontational. Nasty.Those are just some of the words U.S. District Judge Virginia M. Kendall used Wednesday to describe how Joel A. Brodsky of the Law Office of Joel A. Brodsky conducted his defense of an auto dealership accused in a civil suit of selling a used vehicle whose odometer had been rolled back.In a written opinion, Kendall ordered Brodsky to pay a $50,000 sanction.She also directed him to take an ethics course and to get anger-management treatment.And Kendall wrote she …
