A judge ruled an inverse condemnation claim could not be brought against the city of Chicago when the alleged damage impacts nearly all of its residents.A class-action lawsuit was filed in Cook County Circuit Court in February 2016 contending the city knew its efforts to replace pipes and water mains increased lead levels in the water but they did not adequately notify residents or take appropriate steps to lessen the possible harm.The suit alleged negligence and inverse condemnation counts against the city.Inverse …
