A family has settled with the Chicago Transit Authority for $1.5 million after a 19-month-old girl was killed by a bus in May 2014.Plaintiff La ‘Tasha Upshaw sued the CTA, alleging the bus driver was distracted and didn’t slow down in time to avoid hitting her daughter Cherish.The case was scheduled for an April 5 trial, but once Circuit Judge James P.
