Federal trial judges in Chicago have boosted the amount of expenses that may be repaid to lawyers who take on civil cases free of charge.The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois increased reimbursement limits in its Pro Bono Program to amounts ranging from $2,500 to more than $5,000 in more complex cases.Reimbursements previously were limited to $1,000 in most cases, with the possibility of seeking up to $3,000.Interpreter costs, which previously counted toward the maximum amount of expenses reimbursed …
