Gordon points to one example of this dedication: Wilson represented a loyal client for nine years. The children of the client were being neglected by one parent and their safety was in jeopardy. After the case went to trial, strict requirements were established and enforced by Wilson. He also earned a significant judgment in favor of his client for past-due child support, child-related expenses and attorney fees.

Wilson’s commitment to the profession extends beyond his clients, as he also serves on the Illinois State Bar Association Legislative Committee which works with the Illinois General Assembly to ensure legislation is in the best interest of Illinois residents. He is actively involved in his children’s Chicago Public School fundraising board and was a founding member of the Associate Board of the Legal Aid Society, the legal arm of Metropolitan Family Services where he served as the chair of that society's pro-bono committee.
