Desiree Moore

Perhaps Desiree Moore's days hold more than 24 hours?  What else could explain how this attorney with K&L Gates gets so much accomplished each day? 

Moore is a partner at the top-ranked law firm and is the founder and co-chair of K&L Gates' Digital Crisis Planning & Response practice group. She is also a frequent author and speaker, a mentor to young attorneys, and a fierce advocate for her clients, one who has earned a long string of successful results in the arena of crisis management and complex commercial litigation.  She cares about the human aspects of her practice too, working to build community and lasting bonds with colleagues and clients.

Moore built K&L Gates' crisis management and social media practice from scratch. In doing so, she gained national prominence in this field. 

But Moore didn't stop there. In May of 2019, she took over as the firm’s Director of Professional Development, where she oversees the firm's comprehensive associate training programs and works to ensure all lawyers in the firm achieve their full potential. Moore is also recognized as a talented, prolific writer and speaker on a wide range of topics.

Moore's peers say that in addition to her work for the industry and her firm, Moore is an excellent litigator. She exhibits flawless decision making while representing her clients and delivers consistently outstanding results for them.

With these talents, it’s not surprising that Moore has built such a busy and thriving career. She is a skilled crisis management counselor, focusing on data breach and other high-profile, “bet the company” crises.  She is also a long-time trial attorney who has successfully litigated disputes in sectors such as cryptocurrency, social media, intellectual property, entertainment, product liability, and class action defense.

Moore created Greenhorn Legal, an intensive training program for law students and new lawyers as they transition into private practice and published her first book, Thrive: A New Lawyers Guide to Law Firm Practice, in 2012.  Her second book, Foodie Tales, a cookbook that she wrote with her children inspired by classic children’s literature, is due to be published this October.
