On March 15, the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals heard oral argument in a bellwether appeal regarding the constitutionality of the city of Philadelphia’s salary history ban.Among other things, the appeal will determine the level of judicial scrutiny that should be applied in constitutional challenges to such laws and, as a result, could determine the fate of similar salary history laws across the country.The case underlying the appeal, Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia v. Arizona high court rolls back clock to 1864 in abortion case
