Cook County circuit judges re-elected Timothy C. Evans to a fifth term as chief judge Tuesday. Evans, who did not face opposition, received 232 votes. A total of 239 ballots were cast, but seven were spoiled and did not count. His new three-year term begins on Dec. 2. “It’s going to be very exciting to move forward in the new term, and I am looking forward to it,” Evans said today.
