Panel: Lawyer’s insurance policy improperly canceled

A 1st District Appellate Court panel has reinstated a lawyer’s liability insurance policy, ruling that his former partner’s misrepresentation of information when buying the policy for their firm did not nullify his coverage. In 2009, ISBA Mutual Insurance Co. sued Sam Tuzzolino and William Terpinas Jr., former partners at Tuzzolino & Terpinas LLC in Skokie, to rescind their entire insurance policy for material misrepresentation during their policy renewal.
