A Cook County jury awarded $900,000 to a college professor who sustained a brain injury from a 2015 rear-end crash.The verdict was reached Wednesday after a weeklong trial before Circuit Judge Thomas V. Lyons II.On March 26, 2015, William Pierros was driving eastbound on the Eisenhower Expressway when he was rear-ended by Jason Sitaras near the Mannheim Road exit in Hillside, according to court documents.Sitaras stated in a deposition that he was looking down at his GPS and did not realize traffic had stopped, causing him …
