State Supreme Court revamps Illinois Judicial Conference

SPRINGFIELD — The Illinois Supreme Court announced a rule change Friday that implements a “smaller, more active and engaged” Illinois Judicial Conference.The rule change takes effect today, the same day the development phase will begin. The implementation phase is expected to conclude by year’s end.Prescribed by the state constitution, The Illinois Judicial Conference is a group responsible for creating and supervising judicial education efforts in Illinois.Under an amendment to Supreme Court Rule …
