A Cook County jury awarded $1.6 million to a truck driver who sustained neck, knee and finger injuries after he was struck by a 470-pound bundle of steel pipes.The verdict was reached Friday after a five-day trial before Circuit Judge Ann Collins-Dole.Jurors tallied more than $1.8 million in damages, which was reduced to about $1.6 million after they found plaintiff Morris Denton was 15 percent at fault.On Sept. 29, 2014, Denton, then a driver for Cresco Lines, was instructed to pick up a bundle of piping from a facility …
